$150 to $175 How old are you? That depends on alot on how people would pay you. I am 25 and I babysit a 3 and a 7 year old. I get paid $240, but I watch them 11 hours for 3days and 7 hours the 4th day for 3 and a half days aweek. I have them a total of 40 hours. Just because the father is next door doesn't mean anything you are still in full responsiblilty for those children. Charge them $75 per child.

I think between $20-35 or like $15 dollars an hour!! Because your doing ALOT of work and for a long period of time. Good luck baby sitting!! I had to do what your doing but only for one day and i got paid $50!!!

A lot of this depends on your age. I assume since you're asking this might be one of your first bigger 'nanny' jobs. If it were me, I'd ask for $7-8/hour. Ask for raises of .50/hour every 6-12 months. Sounds like a great job you lined up. Also, the better job you do, the more you clean up and involve yourself in the rearing of the children, the more valuable you'll be to them and the more likely they'll give you reasonable raises when you ask. Make a point of talking to the mom about specific ways she disciplines (time out, etc.) and what she's ok with you doing. Talk to her about small steps on potty training the 2 year old…bringing him/her to the potty once an hour just for practice, etc. You'll be able to take charge in a loving way with these kids since you're with them so much.
Two kids are actually easier to take care of one – they entertain each other. And their ages are easier than caring for an infant. Diapers and feeding and naps are all challenging parts. I pay my 55 year old babysitter for my 2 year old (she's babysat since he was 6 months old) $12/hour. She's very, very experienced.

I would say at LEAST $40 per day, and if your housework is particularly good, a tip on top of that! Don't let yourself be taken advantage of!

For baby sitting here, the going rate is between ten and fifteen dollars an hour. Minimum wage here in California is eight dollars per hour. Also, I think the going rate depends on where you live, right now I live in Los Angeles. When I lived a little farther off the beaten path(a town of one hundred thousand people) and was under eighteen, I charged seven dollars an hour for two kids.
