Why are some people put in the center of importance,rather then celebrating the whole which plays just as an.

important role as the man we make out to be one of the greats?
I mean without the constuction workers the architect could not realize his dreams, and of course the other way around is true as well. Yet we seem mostly to celebrate the architect rather then the whole which went into the project.why?
